History
There have been Baptists working in Penarth for the last 135 years.
The building in which we worship now is not the original building, for as the work has developed, so the church has been extended. In 1988/89 the church was closed for a year for a major refurbishment, thus equipping the church for its current ministry and mission.

During 1997/8 we moved out for another six months whilst the rear end of the church was refurbished and strengthened. Also during the period 1992 to 1995 we started two new churches, Dinas Powys Baptist Church and Cosmeston Christian Fellowship (now Cosmeston Church).
As we moved forward in the new Millennium, we still have a vibrant congregation of believers.
Over the years, Tabernacle Baptist Church has become part of its community; we have shared in the joys and the sorrows of hundreds of people who have attended weddings, funerals, baby blessings, the baptism of believers, as well as for Sunday Worship and have provided activities for young and old.
In everything, we seek to serve others, as we worship the God and Father of Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for a spiritual home, then why not think of becoming part of God's family here ?
