Tabernacle Playgroup

Tabernacle Playgroup is one of the community activities run by Tabernacle Baptist Church, Plassey Street, Penarth.. It is registered with the Vale of Glamorgan Council and is a member of the Pre-school Playgroups Association. It is designed to provide children from 2 - 5 years old with a wide range of educational activities.

We recognise the importance of play, and hope to provide every opportunity for children to learn through play in a large relaxed atmosphere with companions of a similar age. We operate an equal opportunities policy.

TIME OF SESSIONS

9.15 am - 11.45 am Monday to Friday,
during school terms.

PLAYGROUP SESSIONS

Sessions support free-play, painting, playdough and other creative activities, sand & water play, Lego, Duplo and other construction toys, puzzles and matching games, imaginative and family play, book corner, climbing frame, bicycles etc - in addition to organised music, poetry, rhymes and stories. There may be some outside activities.

BREAK TIME

Milk (or water) is provided during the morning. Orange squash is not provided.

BIRTHDAYS

We would like to make your child's birthday a special day and if you wish you may send small individual cakes or biscuits for break time.

FEES

Fees are £5.50 per session - payable weekly in advance.

At least four weeks notice must be given to terminate attendance. In the event of holiday or temporary sickness, payment in full is still required, but if absence extends for more than two consecutive weeks the position will be reviewed.

CLOTHING

Please ensure that you send your child to playgroup wearing practical play clothes. All outdoor clothes, particularly wellingtons, should be clearly marked with your child's name.

PARENTS AND PLAYGROUP

Parents are encouraged to take an active interest in the playgroup and are invited to join in a least one activity each term. Parents are always welcome to discuss their child with the staff.

NOTES

1. No Medicine can be given to a child at Playgroup.

2. No sweets may be brought to Playgroup.

3. We must be informed if your child has a notifiable illness.
