Advice

Home Access provides advice and support for those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in the Vale of Glamorgan. We can offer a current list of vacancies in the area and a free telephone service to look for places to live. A small waiting list is kept and presently given to those with the greatest need though priority is given to families.

Bonds

We have a small bond scheme where we can issue a bond guarantee to a landlord up to the sum of two hundred pounds. This covers rent arrears or damage to property. The bond is subject to the property being of a reasonable state, and the rent affordable. Home Access also reserves the right to refuse a bond if they feel a person's behaviour or life style may be detrimental to the tenancy and will advise the person accordingly.

Support

We continue to support tenants if they request additional help. In particular we help tenants to acquire furniture and bedding through free donations from the public and local churches. We also support people with: --

  • Debt
  • Child care
  • Benefit problems
  • Need to move on
